Lesson 1
LI: To find tenths and hundredths of a given number/amount.
Welcome to your first consolidation lesson on fractions. In today’s lesson we will be looking at finding tenths and hundredths of a number. When finding a tenth or hundredth of a number, how do you know how many spaced you must move within your place value grid? Work through the slides where there are some questions that we will work through together followed by some questions for you to have a go at yourself for practice. Once you have completed the practice questions, work through the worksheet followed by completing the challenge and plenary. Remember to mark all of your work once everything is completed.

Starting this week we will be taking a journey across the world to listen and discover different kinds of music that are popular in different countries! Make sure to have a listen to some of the cool Reggae from The Caribbean, a bit of Bhangra from India, and finally some African choral music! Your assignment will be to pick your favourite country you have learned about and do some further research into some genres from that country!
