Week 13 Theme: Human Art

Day 1: Face Collage

Day 1

Required items:

  • White/coloured paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Children will be creating an abstract collage of their face! Get some colour paper or paper from magazines/newspapers to create their face.

Day 2: Hands

Day 2

Required items:

  • A4 paper
  • Black felt tip
  • Medium of your choice to colour

Children will be creating some hand art! Trace their hand repeatedly on a piece of paper and try to overlap some of the tracings. In each open space, colour with a different colour or pattern to make some really neat hand art!

Day 3: Minds

Day 3

Required items:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Medium of choice

Children will be drawing their face with all of the important things about them coming out of their mind! Draw their face with the top of their head open. From their head, draw their favourite things like they are flowing out of their head.

Day 4: Eyes

Day 4

Required items:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Medium of choice for colouring

Children will draw the human eye! Inside their eye, draw a reflection of your favourite scene or activity.

Day 5: Cubist Portraits

Day 5

Required items:

  • Pencil
  • Black felt tip
  • Medium of choice for colouring

Children will be drawing an abstract portrait of themself (or a family member). Follow the steps in the link and add in their personal hair style. Colour in the portrait in bright colours and patterns.
