Lesson 1
LI: to recall what decimal numbers are.
Welcome to your first consolidation lesson on decimal and percentages. In today’s lesson we will be looking at recalling what decimal numbers are. How do you read the numbers after a decimal point? Work through the worksheet to refresh your memory on decimals by answering various questions including reading numbers in words, using counters in a place value grid and using your reasoning skills to justify your answers. Lesson 2
LI: To order and compare decimal numbers.
Welcome to your second consolidation lesson on decimal and percentages. In today’s lesson we will be looking at ordering and comparing decimals. When comparing and ordering decimals, what must we consider? Work through the slides where there are some questions that we will work through together followed by some questions for you to have a go at yourself for practice. Once you have completed the practice questions, work through the worksheet followed by completing the challenge and plenary. Remember to mark all of your work once everything is completed. LI: To understand what percentage is and its relation to fractions and decimals.
