Work for Year 1 Pupils for week commencing 15.06.20

Dear Year 1 Pupils,

We are looking forward to seeing many of you back at school again this week and are looking forward to taking you through these lessons and more. The work for this week is below.  If you are learning from home, do not worry if you cannot complete all of the work but please do ensure that you are practising your reading, phonics and maths every day where possible. Try to include other subjects and our weekly Year 1 Challenge.

CREATIVITY, MINDFULNESS and KEEPING FIT

Choose your creative learning by choosing some or all of the activities here

Year 1 Weekly Challenge – Make a Book Mark

Design a book mark to use when reading your favourite books. Take a photo of your book mark to share with your classmates.

Mindfulness Activity 1

Draw some hearts and write kind messages on them to give to people instead of hugs.

Mindfulness Activity 2

Make a ‘proud cloud’. Draw a big cloud shape on a piece of paper and fill it with all the things you are proud of.

Mindfulness Activity 3

Write all your worries and regrets on a piece of paper then cut it up into at least 100 pieces. Throw them in the air and let them go. For your parent’s wellbeing you need to tidy up afterwards!
