Dear Year 1 Pupils,

We are looking forward to seeing many of you back at school this week and are looking forward to taking you through these lessons and more. The work for this week is below.  If you are learning from home, do not worry if you cannot complete all of the work but please do ensure that you are practising your reading, phonics and maths every day where possible. Try to include other subjects and our weekly Year 1 Challenge.

Year 1 Weekly Challenge – Create a Family Treasure Hunt

Plan a treasure hunt for a family member. Design a map, write out a series of clues and hide the clues and your treasure. Take a photo of your map and clues to share with your classmates when we return to school.

Mindfulness Activity 1

Write a letter to your future self, telling them about this time you are living in now.  You are making history! You will enjoy reading it one day!

Mindfulness Activity 2

Make a ‘things you want to do after lockdown’ jar and fill it full of the things you want to do.

Mindfulness Activity 3

Help to make a healthy meal using different coloured fruits and vegetables. Make a rainbow dish!
