How can someone tell if a shape has a line of symmetry or not? Work through the slides to discover that there is not just one way of drawing a line of symmetry. Often, many shapes have more than one line of symmetry, but the key is to know how/when/why this happens. Explore the underground railroad and learn about its most famous conductor, Harriet Tubman.  Create an information card about Harriet using the information from the PowerPoint to help you.

How do you draw the reflection of a given shape? Today, you will be learning two ways to help you draw the accurate reflection of any given shape. The key is to always refer to the line of symmetry as this will help you know which angle the shape is being reflected in. Remember to attempt the challenge and plenary at the end of the slides to consolidate your learning.

In today’s lesson you will be exploring how you can add more patterns to complete a shape so that it is symmetrical according to the given line of symmetry. Remember to attempt the challenge and plenary at the end of the slides to consolidate your learning.

This week is another consolidation of some of the things we have learned and is very performance based. You will be practicing rhythms, creating some more found instruments (perhaps ones you did not have the chance to make before), performing for your household or recording a performance, and then reflecting on it. Have fun with this one, and don't be afraid to make mistakes!

LO: To understand why Muslims fast. (4RS15.5)
As many of you may know, we are currently in the month of Ramadan, therefore in today’s lesson you will be exploring when Ramadan is observed, why it is important, what happens during this time and the festival of Eid-al-Fitr. Think about your current day-to-day life and how it would change if you did fast for a day. Read through this (4RS15.5b) to see how my day would change during Ramadan. End the lesson of by reading a lovely story called ‘Rameena’s Eid’ (4RS15.5c) to gain a better understanding of what it actually means to observe Ramadan.
