We hope you are all well and enjoying this time with your family. Well done for trying to keep up with your learning at home and taking time out throughout the week to continue your learning journey during this unusual period of time.

Read Chapter 5 of Percy Jackson ‘I play pinochle with a horse’.  Answer the comprehension questions in full sentences.  Try to use quotes from the story to support your answer.

Spend some time silent reading or reading aloud to someone in your house.  
Find out what is happening around the world - read the latest edition of First News newspaper.

Maths

LI: To compare angles. (4Ma4.5)
Today you will be looking at comparing different angles. ‘Do you know which angle is smaller or bigger?’ Do you know the correct name of each angle?’  It is one thing to look and state which angle is smaller or bigger but another to be able to jusitfy your answers. Remember to work through the challenge and plenary once you have completed the maths no problem worksheet.

Read through the PowerPoint to discover the causes of the Civil War.  Write a paragraph describing what the main causes of the American Civil War were.

If I gave you a shape, would you be able to tell me how many lines of symmetry it has?’  Today you will be learning about how to know when a shape is symmetrical or not. Remember, even if a shape has shown a line of symmetry it might just be there to trick you. Always check to see if it is true or not. Don’t forget to work through the challenge and plenary once you have completed the maths no problem worksheet.
