Year 2 w/c 6.4.20

Optional Work for Year 2 Pupils for week commencing 6.04.20

Dear Year 2 Parents and Pupils,

Here are the lessons for the week beginning 6th April. You can make your own daily timetable as you see fit. Each of the activities has a task and some slides for you to download and follow. These activities are to support our year 2 children's learning at home. Please complete what you can, but do not feel pressurised to do everything. We appreciate that these are unusual times and each family will be experiencing the circumstances in a unique way.

There are a couple of things to note: the Oxford Owl website (www.oxfordowl.co.uk) is invaluable. It provides free e-books to read or listen to online. Please take advantage of this and keep on practising your reading. Your fluency and comprehension was improving greatly in school – please keep this up!

All of the activities provided by teachers can simply be uploaded onto a computer, iPhone or iPad and can be read directly from the screen. Do not worry if you do not have a printer – there should not be anything to print if you want to use the screen. However, if you would like to print pro-formas provided for convenience, then please do. Answers to activities such as comprehension or grammar exercises can simply be written on paper or in your exercise book.

We hope you and your family are keeping well and we can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful work you are doing at home! Keep working hard Year 2 and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

From Ms Miller and the Year 2 Team
